BLISS! 
For the first time this year, other than when we were actually at a circuit (Rockingham) I have managed to see all 3 BTCC races today.
ITV have finally clicked that they have 4 channels and they have cameras at the circuits, and commentators, and crews etc… so they showed a *full* replay of Race 1 at Brands Hatch (sadly the Indy and not the GP circuit) followed by some FRenault action followed by all of Race 2 LIVE followed by some FBMW fun all on ITV 4 today… then they went over to ITV1 for the usual recap of races 1 and 2 followed by live coverage of Race 3.
ABOUT BL***Y TIME – it’s always wound me up how much they waste their channels with naff re-runs of trashy soaps when they could instead use it for something innovative and new.
And what a weekend to choose to do it on. The weather at Brands for the start of the races was atrocious earlier but it led to some classic touring car action and all the races were really superb.
I have to admit, I cannot stand Jason Plato but he has a really healthy respect for Fabrizio Giovanardi and Plato drove a really clean, good, race today (credit where it’s due!)
I was totally gutted for Matt Jackson who got penalised for nothing of his doing and really felt sorry for Darren Turner who just seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time today.
But boy, this years championship is really going to the wire. 2 race weekends, 6 races, remain and there is only 4 points between the championship leaders.
It aint over yet!
