Yes I do still love my motor sports!
I appreciate I haven’t commented on the buildup to the F1 season, nor on the first race and all the endless politicking and bickering that goes on – but boy I have most assuredly been looking forward to the seasn, and boy did I enjoy the first race… it’s looking like it’ll be a GREAT season, so long as the teams don’t ruin it with all their politics.
We also have the wonderous return of the British Touring Car Championship this weekend as the cars all hit Brands Hatch for the opening 3 rounds.
I was at Rockingham the other week for the launch day and got some great photos – I must remember to post them later on so you can have a gander – but looking at all the cars and the potential for fun, well… the BTCC is well known for being fun isn’t it 😉
The one hope for the BTCC is that drives such as Mat Jackson, Tom Onslow-Cole and even Jason Plato (who provides as much controversy as entertainment but still enriches the tournament) manage to get full drives for the year. Time is ticking away for them, although Plato has a drive in a Chevy this weekend, but there’s always surprises to be sprung.
Good times 🙂
