 Published on June 21st, 2010 For the last couple of months or so we have really started to feel a sense that God is going to shake things up this year, and that He has got some major plans for us in the next few months/year or so.
We don’t know quite what it all means or how it’s all going to happen but the sense of change is impossible to ignore and has only been reinforced by words God has spoken either to us directly or through others who have no idea what is going on right now.
That’s an important factor – we have had people coming up to us (me, Mrs H and our eldest) asking really direct questions regarding the future and plans that we may have. There has also been many words coming about through the sermon series and also from the recent 3 days of prayer and fasting.
Through all the uncertainty and the turmoil – there is complete certainty and peace. We know that God has plans to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29 11:14) but even more than that promise there has been a song that has been resonating within me and filling me with such joy, peace and hope.

Published on May 14th, 2009 You ever heard of Laminin? No? Well, unless you’re a micro-biologist or have seen this talk before, it doesn’t surprise me in any way, shape or form because until I had seen this talk I hadn’t either.
The video I’ve posted is part of a talk by Louie Giglio (a guy who works closely with Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman and the Passion movement) call “How Great is Our God” and, whilst the whole talk is mind-blowing, this bit just completely shook me to my core when I saw it a year ago.

Even so it’s always a laugh to see just who has come up with the best pranks each year and my 2 personal favourites this year have got to be the XBox 360 Alpine Legend game (link) and the Quallcom Convergence innovation (link)

Published on July 23rd, 2008 Wow. Simply put… WOW! That one word sums up this weekend pretty well. Of course, another word for the weekend would be “Chaos” or maybe even “Whirlwind” – then there is “MAD”. I’m not complaining – don’t get me wrong – it was a totally stunningly awesome weekend that I 110% loved and don’t regret in any way!
We always knew the weekend was going to be a mad but I don’t think any of us fully appreciated just how much of a rush it would be. So, beginning at the beginning of the weekend as it’s probably the only way I’ll get my thoughts together, here goes an update of life with the Hartleys (and not just us 5)
